Voices of History

I created a team called Voices of History to share my experiences with college and high school students studying photography. After six months of planning and preparation, our team of 12 students visited the site of the Jeju 4.3 Incident last summer. As the team's co-founder, I explained the historical tragedies at the site and helped them experience what the victims went through during that time. During the five-day trip, we came together every evening to recount and share our thoughts from that day. Visiting one location did not accumulate in having the same experience: everyone found a different insight and meaning.
